Cookie Policy

Last updated: July 17, 2026 · MetaDataImage is a product of GroundSwell Resources, Inc.

This policy explains how metadataimage.com uses cookies and similar browser storage. You control optional cookies through our consent banner — reopen it any time with the button below or the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer.

What cookies are

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We also use localStorage, a similar browser storage mechanism, for the same kinds of purposes; this policy covers both.

Essential (always on)

Required for the Service to function — they cannot be disabled:

NameTypePurposeDuration
sb-access-tokenCookieKeeps you signed in to your account~1 hour, refreshed while you use the app
Supabase auth tokenlocalStorageSession renewal so you stay signed in between visitsUntil logout
mt_cookie_consentlocalStorageRemembers your cookie choiceUntil cleared
mt_a11y_prefslocalStorageRemembers your accessibility toolbar settingsUntil cleared
mt_userlocalStorageCaches your name/photo so pages render without flickerUntil logout

Analytics (only with your consent)

If you choose "Accept all" in the consent banner, we load PostHog, a product-analytics tool, which sets its own cookies/localStorage identifiers (names beginning with ph_) to measure page views and feature usage tied to your account. If you choose "Essential only", PostHog is never loaded and no analytics identifiers are set. You can change your choice at any time via "Cookie preferences" — analytics stop on your next page load after withdrawing consent.

What we don't use

We use no advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking pixels, and no social-media trackers.

Managing cookies in your browser

You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the essential cookie will prevent you from staying signed in.

Changes

We will post changes here with an updated date.
